Fruit Salad

Fruit salad is a healthful and delicious food especially for diet. I love this food because I think it is fresh and I like the mayonaise. This food has many benefits, rich of vitamins especially vitamins C, minerals, and fibrous parts of fruits, low fat, and this food also can make bad mouth odors disappear.

You can make this food by your self if you want or you also can buy it in salad shop. If you want to make it you need many kind of fruits, like apples, red grapes, sweet oranges (canned orange), peers, a melon, a watermelon, strawberries, etc. You also can add jelly and nata de coco without the water. The materials of the dressing are 350ml yogurt plain, 2-4 tablespoons of mayonaise, a tablespoon of sweet canned milk, and sugar.

Firstly you need to cut the fruits into dice shape. Then pour the dressing on the top of fruits. Spread the scrapped cheese. The fruit salad that spatter by olive oil as flavoring is the most healthful food for skin. This oil contains of esential low acid that make skin bright and clear.
But things that you may pay attention are ...

1. Be careful with the dressing
Fruit salad isn't low fat anymore if the dressing to much. Dressing can increase 100 calories each a tablespoon. Fruit salad without dressing contains 25 calories each half of cup.
Take enough dressing because it will be change the taste of fruit, if it to much.

2. Wash the fruits with water flows, dry it and keep in plastic bag in the refrigerator. So the fruits will fresh until we cook it.

3. Soak the peeled apples and peer in the lemon essence. Because apples and peers always change into brown after we cut it. Soak it, so it will look more interesting longer.

TRY IT .. YOU WILL LIKE IT .. :')

Tofu is a food made by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into soft white blocks. [yack]
I hate tofu because I think tofu has strange taste in my tongue :P
Tofu is juicy....yack !! until now, I never eat tofu again. Near my home, there's a Tahu Pong seller. Tahu pong has bad smell. if I passed in front of the Tahu pong seller I always increase my motorcycle speed :D
all of food that related with tofu, I will not eat it. Although Irfan Bachdim ask me to eat it, I will not eat it !!!! >,<
I don't care...
ckckckck. I prefer tempe to tofu !! I love tempe than tofu. tempe still has delicious taste if we eat it with condiment. Do you know, if I try to eat tofu, after that I felt headache. I don't know why ?!

Fried Rice [yummy]

Hello all...
Now I wanna tell you about my favorite food. My favorite food is fried rice.
Fried rice is a simple food that I can made it. It's popular food in community. in general, fried rice always red. The red is from tomato or chili sauce that mixed with the rice. Fried rice also made of steamed rice stir-fried in a wok with others materials like eggs, vegetables, or meat. Hmmm.....very yummy..

so red
Do you know, when I just moving house from Tambak Adi to My new house, almost everyday I bought fried rice to my dinner. I'm not bored to eat fried rice everyday. I don't know, why I love fried rice very much ?!
At school, if I don't bring my stock I will buy fried rice :) wkwkwk. Fried rice has different taste than another food. I love fried rice with hot taste. There are some kind of fried rice that the taste very delicious :

  • Bai cha: A Khmer variation of fried rice that includes diced Chinese sausage, garlic, soy sauce, and herbspork. usually eaten with pork
  • Canton (or Mui Fan) fried rice: A Cantonese dish of fried rice typically dry, Fukien fried rice is usually served "wet", with sauce or gravy on top.
  • Nasi goreng: An Indonesian and Malay version of fried rice. The main difference compared to fried rice is that it is cooked with sweet soy sauce . It is often accompanied by additional items such as a fried egg, fried chicken, satay, or krupuk. Served in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the southern Philippines, and most of the neighboring countries. Also very popular in the Netherlands.
  • Arroz Frito (Cuban Fried Rice): Very similar to "Special Fried Rice", this version of fried rice can be found alongside typical criollo dishes in many Cuban restaurants. This dish features ham, bbq pork, shrimp, chicken, and eggs along with a variety of vegetables. Some restaurants add lechón (Cuban-style suckling pig), lobster tails, and/or crab. Chinese cuban are responsible for the dish's popularity.
  • Hawaiian fried rice: A common style of fried rice in Hawaii. Usually contains egg, green onions, peas, cubed carrots, and one or both of Portuguese sausage and Spam. Also sometimes available with kimchi added. Normally cooked in sesame oil
Nahh......
From the name I think it's very delicious fried rice. Oh yeah friend, you can also make fried rice by yourself. It's not too hard to make ! very easy. For me, the material that very important if we make fried rice is garlic. haha , why ? because without garlic the taste of my own fried rice is different. Or sometimes if I'm lazy to make the seasoning y myself, I use instant spice of fried rice. we can meet them anywhere :)
The alternative is you can go to fried rice seller. The price of fried rice very cheap.
So because it's simple food, you can eat it everyday....but my father said to me if I may not eat it everyday again. because it's not good for my healthy. I hate it -_-
So guys, what is your favorite food ?? is it fried rice like me ?? :D

Yummy Meatball

I don't know who invented meatball, but this food is very popular among Indonesian. Meatball, made of chopped meat which made into a ball, as big as a ping pong ball. Of course to enrich the flavor some spices are added iwth the meat dough. Then it is boiled, or steamed i'm not quite sure with the meat broth. To serve, noodle is put in a bowl, then 5-6 meatball go with the noodle and then extra soup (from the meat broth). Fried shallot is added too with sliced onion leaves. Oh no..just writing about it made me drooling already..yummy

Meatball brings me a lot of memories, from my childhood to my womanhood.. When i was a child, whenever i went to my grandparent's house, my grandparents always spoiled me by buying me and my sister meatball. When we took a nap, my grandpa would bought two bowls of meatball, which was the best meatball at that time, and put them on the dining table. Later he will woke us up at about 4 p.m maybe half an hour after he bought and told us tyo have our meatball. I still remember that the seller name is Pak Ndut (The fat man).  Somehow i can still remember the taste. It's nice.

(Silvana)

When i was in elementary school until junior high, my family always spend our dining time in Bakso Pak Man or Bakso Remaja in my hometown Mojokerto. I couldn't remember well bakso Pak Man. What i remember was at that time the seller didn't have any electricity in his foodstall, so he used traditional lamp powered by kerosene. Bakso Remaja was my favorite. The seller sold es campur too. Es campur is mix fruit, sliced bread, and other ingredients served with chocolate milk and coconut milk with ice topping). What i remember very well from Bakso Remaja is i used to eat two bowls of meatball at once with my mother. When i got the second rank in my junior high, my mother conratulated me by buying me two bowls of meatball instead of one. And i could finish them haha.. I really miss her a lot. I remember her many times i eat meatball. The memories are irreplaceable.

When i was in college, bakso Sayang accross SMAN 2 Surabaya was my favorite. A friend took me there and it was the best meatball i'd eaten at that time. Unfortunately i don't know where the seller moved due to the food stalls resettlement program done by the local municipality. The last time i ate was maybe in 2005.

And now in my adulthood i ate meatball anywhere. To me meatball is a simple food but tasteful. Every seller has its specialty. To name some in Surabaya I've tried Bakso Sayang (reviewed), Bakso Tanjung Anom (near SMPN 4), Bakso Rasa Sayang (Jl. Ciliwung), Bakso Kotak (Yani Golf), Bakso Kalidami, Bakso Kota Cak Man, Bakso Pak Djo (Petra Manyar), and almost all bakso in my neighborhood. The ones mentioned are popular. You can just asked people and most people know where the sellers are. Some suit my taste, some don't. Some are pricey and some are at reasonable price. Dare to try?

Soto Daging Kalkulator

www.ficforlife.blogspot.com

Soto Daging Kalkulator which translated into Calculator Meat Soup is a famous cuisine in Surabaya. The food stall is located in Taman Bungkul just next to the skating area. The food stall (warung) name is actually “Sedap Malam”. This warung is always crowded by soto lovers. Based on my observation the warung opens daily from 4 p.m until late night. What special from this soto is it is soto Lamongan. Usually the meat soto is Madurese one which taste doesn’t suit mine. Soto Lamongan has lighter taste which completed with fried innards and perkedel (fried mashed potato). It is served in the evening with some shrimp crackers.
Soto itself is a traditional cuisine. It can be found in almost every region in Indonesia. Every region has its own way in making the soto (soup). The soup made of meat or chicken broth. Even many put innards (jeroan) in the soup. Of course, it’s not my favorite.

Rawon Kalkulator
(eastjava.com/blog)
Soto daging kalkulator is famous, because the seller will count things that you’ve ordered and tell each price like a machine. He will mumble like a robot in a funny rhyme and tone while calculating food that you eat there. Moreover, so far Soto Daging Kalkulator is the only meat soto a la Lamongan. I haven’t  found any other place. The soto is quite pricey compare to other warung. Of course, when it’s compare with a nice restaurant the price is reasonable. If you have time and want to spend more money to taste the soto, I highly recommend this place. If you don’t like soto, you can try the black soup (rawon) in this place too.

Fried rice

Fried rice is one of the famous food in Asia. Many countries in Asia love this food. Especially for Chinese and Indonesian foods. Fried rice really cheap. Everybody can buy this food or make it by self. The ingredients are garlic, egg, onion, salt, pepper, rice, vegetables, some meat and sauce. I really like fried rice. It can be alternative food when our parents not cooking anything. It's nice and perfect....!!!!
Fried rice not only famous in Asis, but also in America. But the differences between Asian fried rice and American fried rice are they use soya sauce and hot dog. Chaufa is popular version of fried rice in Peru. It combines with Chinese recipe and some South American flavor. Anothe version is Curry fried rice, it same with another fried rice but the different is they use some curry powder for the flavor.
For me fried rice is nice food. My mom always bought it for me when we don't have food for dinner. You just need Rp 6.000,- for buy it. If you wanna eat clean and healthy fried rice, you can cook it in your home. If my mom make it, she never use tomato sauce. She only use galic, onion, chili, tomato and vegetables and then we blend it. I always use vegetables for cook fried rice. The vegetables are carrots, broccoli, salad, bean and celery.

It's really nice. Sometimes we eat it with chicken, crackers and pickle. It only be the complement. When we will buy fried rice in some place who so many people sell it, you must make sure that seller that you choose is right. Make sure first before you feel disappointed.
For people who hate fried rice....i think you need to try it. I'm sure after you try it you will wanna it again...again...and again.Sometimes i really hate when the seller is dirty and sell unhealthy food. But i'm luck because i always have special place for buy fried rice. Don't forget to try it ....!!!
