festival in surabaya

              Hi guys,i think you ever hear this word "FESTIVAL".Many Festival we found in Surabaya.But,now i tell about festival food.One of them is festival Gado-gado.The composito are vegetable,peanut,a water,etc.Many pople follow the competition to made a gado-gado because it's very funny.

              And in the festival food we can choose what food do you like,in fact it's free.Maybe we can try to go to festival food.In Surabaya ever held a festival food.Many people go there.Maybe now,we tried go there.Thank you....

Rujak Uleg Festival

Indonesia has many kinds of rujak, one of them is rujak uleg. Rujak uleg is one kind of traditional food in Surabaya, East Java. Rujak uleg made from petis with peanut, chili, and onion. The vegetables on it are bean sprouts, kangkung, lontong, tempe, tofu, cucumber, etc. Every years when we celebrate the anniversary of Surabaya,  Rujak Uleg Festival is held. Why does rujak uleg? It does because rujak uleg is surabaya's icon of food. There are more 1000 participants gathering in Kembang Jepun for held this festival. Usually, there are many women on that festival. The participants are local people or people who come to Surabaya. On that side, the participants are rujak uleg seller from East Java. The participants must wear a unique clothes for add the happiness from this festival, example: an army clothes, Gatot Kaca, clown, fisherman, etc. It will be fun, won't it? So, come to Kembang Jepun every 31 May to see this festival!

Interesting Place in Surabaya - Cheng Ho Mosque

Cheng Ho mosque is located on Jalan Gading Surabaya. This mosque has an oriental architecture with the art of it. The art is a symbol of China, Java, and Moslem culture. The colors of it are green, yellow, and red.  The architecture of this mosque is from China and Java. Cheng Ho is taken from Laksamana Cheng Ho who entered  Moslem when he in Majapahit. The model of Cheng Ho mosque is inspiration from Niu Jei, a mosque in Beijing, China. The capacity of this mosque is more than 200 people. In that mosque, there are an Arabic language made from dragons and lions from wax. In the left of the mosque, there is a bedug to tell people that we can pray at that time. The mosque has 8 sides and every number has the meaning from Moslem and China belief.  The size of Ka'bah  is symbolize by number 11, and Wali Songo is symbolize by number 9. Lucky is symbolize by number 8. It's interesting! So do you want to go there?
