I found this statement below

Being bored to death is no joke: Chronic boredom is a killer, study finds

Boredom is one of the most irritating and frustrating things to experience. Watching the clock tick away minutes of your life with painful slowness can make anger or depression.

Here, i found some steps to stop being bored ::

Instructions

    • 1
Create definite goals for yourself. Having a goal or two in mind at all times helps you to think about the value of each situation, no matter how boring it might be. By understanding how a given situation is getting you closer to your goal, you will be able to engage and stop being bored for the moment.
    • 2
Get enough sleep each night. Being tired is a direct path to being bored. Tiredness encourages the mind to wander from the situation at hand and brings you to a place that is halfway between sleeping and engaging. Getting enough sleep each night will help you to stay involved in the activities you engage in and will allow you to be creative enough to supplement boring activities with interesting ones.

Find some fun time killers. There are many things in life, such as waiting for a doctor's appointment or going to the DMV that are as unavoidable as they are boring. Figure out a way to enjoy yourself as you wait. For example, if you like to doodle, then keep a pencil and pad of paper with you. Other ideas include books, magazines, personal digital assistants or crossword puzzles.
    • 4
Get a few hobbies. Having a hobby is great way to stop being bored. Having a whole range of hobbies is an even better way to prevent boredom. Pursuing a couple of different interests will encourage you to jump from activity to activity and avoid the gap times of empty TV watching or wandering around your house aimlessly.

Embrace the boredom. At some point, being able to stay calm, breathe and relax will be the best way to stop being bored. Many meditative and Zen techniques hinge on this idea of being able to relax without external simulation. This takes practice and some guidance but can be achieved, so start learning to convert boredom into active relaxation.
