Photography

Photography is the art, science and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film, or electronically by means of animage sensor.
First we talk about old camera, in ancient times we capture a photo must use a negative film and must wash it to dark room for get the photo. But in modern times there are a types of camera is DSLR, DSLR is a digital camera combining the optics and the mechanisms of a single-lens reflex camera with a digital imaging sensor, as opposed to photographic film. The reflex design scheme is the primary difference between a DSLR and other digital cameras. In the reflex design, light travels through the lens, then to a mirror that alternates to send the image to either the view finder or the image sensor.
In DSLR there are many kind of terms like:
1.Shutter speed is is the length of time a camera's shutter is open when taking a photograph
2.Tripod  is a portable three-legged frame, used as a platform for supporting the weight and maintaining the stability of some other object
3.Sepia is like a filter effect of camera like a old photo
4.Aperture is the opening lens that determines the cone angle of a bundle of lights that come to a focus in the image
5.Exposure is the opening that determines the cone angle of a bundle of rays that come to a focus in the image

My Hiking Experience

My first  experience Hiking Arjuno Mountain

After I’m in senior high school for the first time I know about hiking and climbing, I joined one of extracurricular in my school and the club name is SMA 6 Pecinta Alam, I joined that club because I like adventure and nature.  After I learned about survive on the mountain and all about something that we need on the mountain for  one year finally the real hiking is coming I went hiking with my friend and my senior, actually the mountain that we choose is Semeru but in D-1 we got bad news, the bad news is there is storm on the top of Semeru Mountain so we change to the Arjuno Mountain. We know that Semeru is the highest mountain in Java Island with 3676 mdpl but Arjuno is one of the high mountain too with 3339 mdpl.

We went to Arjuno at 1 July 2013, we went there by public transportation like bus and mini bus. We needed  3 days for hiking and 1 day for go down. First day we start our hiking at 10.00 am we leaved the first post to go to the second post (Pondokan). During our journey the rain was fall until we arrived at the second post, the rain made the track difficult to hike and this the adventure. We arrived in second post at ± 19.00 pm. In Pondokan there is many hiker, one of them gave us a cup of warm milk (thanks for the man) after that we built our tent and then we cooked some food for dinner. After we had eaten, we sleep until morning. In the morning before we continue our journey we cooked first for breakfast and we continued our journey to the third pos (Lembah Kidang), Lembah Kidang is the last post before top of mountain.

We continued our journey at 8.00 am and it was  raining again (poor us) because of rain the fog is coming huft it was made us difficult to saw the track and thanks for God we found a small shelter to take a rest. After the fog has gone we continued our journey, but I like when it was raining because we can drank the rainwater after we collect the water in to our raincoat, the water taste was very fresh. Finally we arrived in lembah kidang at 18.00pm but one of my friend was getting hypothermia, all of us was hugging him,I was so afraid but thanks for God my friend was getting better after we gave him wedang jahe after that we built tent and made  food for dinner and sleep to prepare our physics and our mental of course. Lembah Kidang is beautiful place in the morning there is big savannah and small waterfall and the water was so fresh ._.

After we breakfast we prepared the tools that we need, we just brought one carrier for our food and medicine, and this is fighting time we go to the top of the mountain at 10 am. During the journey we put sign in some place for orientation so we didn’t get lose anymore. The track was more difficult and it was make us so tired, but the view is soooo beautiful I swear thanks for God because make the beautiful world. We continued our journey and finally we arrived on the top of  the mountain at 15.00 pm and some of us found a bank of rock, the rock formed like a pyramid and resident called it “The Door of Satan Market”, but not all people can go to “Satan Market”, we just can see the rock (very horrible). Back to our journey, finally we found our country flag and that flag is sign that we have arrived the real top of the mountain, we were on 3339 mdpl wooww it was soooooo amazing when we looked around we like on the cloud… ….(speechless). We sang Syukur song first to respect our God power…. After that we took picture together ((((:

I was the one standing in the middle

The picture we took on top of Mount Arjuno

At 16.00 we went back to our tent in Lembah Kidang but we got trouble because it was dark we difficult to find the right way, but finally we found our tent safely at 18.30 pm, we cooked some meal for dinner and after that we sleep to prepare our physic to go down next day. Yup this was last day in the mountain :’) we didn’t  cook for breakfast we just made milk and ate some breads. We go down at 9.00 am, we go down with running not walking because we didn’t have much time so were run but it is amazing, unfortunately me and my friend getting small accident we were fall down and we get injured in our knees it made our trousers ripped (poor my trouser L) but it wasn’t make me trauma so I continued my journey with running again J. We arrived at first post at 15.00pm and we bought bakso yummy but the bakso price was very expensive  -_-
Someday I want to go hiking in Arjuno again with someone special…. But I don’t know when.. :D
I will always remember the Pecinta Alam Motto
“Be Brave by Advanture, Be Strong by Nature”

So that is my first  great experience, Thank you J JJ

This is my second experience Hiking Penanggungan Mountain
In holiday me and my friends go hiking together but we choose small mountain the mountain is Penanggungan, the high is just 1653 mdpl but the track is more more difficult from Arjuno because the track is small and more steepy  and slippery too, so it make us more tired. We hike just for 2 days. We start the journey at 11.00 am and we arrived in camping place at 17.00 pm so it didn’t need much time because the mountain is small. We built the tent and cooked some meal for dinner after that we sang together. That night is the best night for me because I felt free I can sang together with my friend and I can saw the star and the moon clearly, you know miss I felt like in the top of the world I felt I can took the star it was amazing, if I can take the picture I will show you how beautiful that view. After we sang together we go sleep to prepare our physic for next day. At 2.00 am we woke up because we want to see the sunrise ((: woow can you imagine that?? it was interesting……
We start hike after we prepare our food and medicine, and huuft the track was double difficult but it can made us stop, we help each other. It was first time I heard adzan on the mountain, subhanallah and the wind blows made me fresh… when I look around the city light was like diamond, beautiful very beautiful..
Finally we arrived on the top at 5.00am,, we ate some food with waiting the sunrise..  fifteen minutes later the sunlight had seen…… and this was  the heaven of the world… sunrise on the top of the mountain….
After we took picture we back to our camp and we cooked food for breakfast and than prepare to go down…

Sunrise at Mount Penanggungan
Do you know which one was me? I was the one with black veil

I wish someday I can go to Korea and I want to hiking in there with someone special of course J maybe with  you miss.. we can  go hiking in Korea together  with BigBang and kim soo hyun :D

Ms. Silvana's Challenge

I thank my beloved students Ema and Fifi whom without them I would not finish my study. They were the most active contributors for this class blog for almost two years. They were subjects for my research. Research about this blog can be found in this link. Abundant thanks for my awesome former students.

Now I challenge students of my two classes. Both are speaking program classes named Speak Up Elementary Level 2 and Speak Up Pre-Advanced level 2. I meet and teach each classes once a week for 3 hours or two session per class. As always, it is a lot of fun teaching them and of course one meeting a week is not enough. Thus, I make a special challenge for them. I call it SILVANA's CHALLENGE. I challenge all students from both classes to write email regularly (of course I need to reply for their email too) and the second challenge is to write posts on this blog. I really wish that this blog will be continued by Emma and Fifi's juniors. The juniors that teach me more about how to be a good teacher and the juniors who have big spirit in writing too (hopefully). So, students, I call your names:
1. Natalia
2. Cindy
3. Alif
4. Tiara
5. Agnes
6. Ibram
7. Rifda from Speak Up Elementary 2 class

and
1. Rika
2. Dwiki
3. Ella
4. Ayu
5. Mela from Speak Up Pre-Advanced 2 class to answer my challenge.

I wish you all best of luck and of course prizes are awaiting for you. Please support this challenge and give comment to each of the students posts dearest readers.

city's problem

Most of people think that living in a city is one of the greatest things. Living in a city has good and bad value. People think that they can get a lot of money by work in a city. Sometimes they also think that living in a city is better than just stay in a village and nothing to change with our live. The main problem living in a city is pollution, crowded area, beggars, dirty area, traffic jam and the safety. Those are the main problem when we live in a city.
Actually, beside those problems, living in a city have a good many effect for people who really want to attract for business or other job. That bad problem can be solving if the government have a lot of ways to clear it. The government can make a program to do in a city. They can ask other people to make the program success.
If I were the city major, I would make some big change to the city. The first step that I would take was repair the people mindset about living in a city. After change the mindset, I could change everything like make the environment clean and free from garbage. Made the public transportation more useful than other transportation so, people did not use their own vehicle and it could decrease the pollution.
Traffic jam also gives big pollution scale in a city. Most of people choose to use their own vehicle to go to everywhere. The only way how to decrease the traffic jam is repair the public transportation. Make all of the facilities in public transportation better or if it needs a change just change it into a new one. Try to attract people to choose the public transportation. So, it can solve the traffic jam and decrease the pollution in the city.
Living in a city not only gives you bad effect, it also has a good one. Just look at the people who live in the countryside. Their life so far from the comfort and safe. Compare with people who live in the city. They can get everything they want but, people who live in the countryside if they want to get something they need to find it in forest. Living in the countryside make people always work hard and they live with enough needs.
Maybe, in the future living in a city is easier than now. Just look at the technology that human have now. All of people try to make their life easy with the technology.

CITIES' BIG PROBLEM

http://www.lensaindonesia.com/2012/09/08/sabtu-sembilan-ribu-kendaraan-r2-padati-kota-surabaya.html

In my opinion, there are three big problems living in cities. The three big problems seem like ‘chain reaction’ from one to another. Let’s talk about the three big problems.
First, living in cities need high cost. Mostly the prices in cities are more expensive than in towns. Reason why this happened because the number of commodity demand and supply is not balanced. When people move to cities and make the population density high, the amount of demand automatically increased. Of course, firms make use of this condition to increase the price of their product time by time. So that’s why the prices in cities are expensive.
Second, traffic jam is also a big problem of cities. Traffic jam can caused by high number of private vehicles and few number of public transportations. In Indonesia, for example, the number of motor cycles is very high, especially in big cities (Jakarta, Surabaya, etc). If the the governments  do not put high attention at this problem, few years later people might can not move to anywhere because the road is full of motorcycles. People prefer to use their own vehicles than public transportations because they are simplier and faster. Most of  public transportations do not offer pleasures for the passangers. Sometimes they are dirty and slow.
If I were a city mayor in my city, I would make a policy for the students of elementary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools who live far from their school to ride in school buses. In my senior high school, mostly, each student rides a motorcycle. You can imagine, how many motorcycles crowd the road everyday if each of senior high school students rides one motorcycles. Why the students of elementary school also involved in this new policy?  Because students of elementary school and  junior high school do not allowed to a ride motorcycle. Their parent take them to school by motorcycle everyday. Same problem, too many motorcycles on the road. Another possible policy is limiting the number of new motorcycles trade per year. If there are no limitation on motorcycle trade, the number of motorcycle in city will increase.
The last problem is the rate of crime. People who do not obey the law will do anything to accomplish their need. They do not care another people rights. Criminals in city usually steal wallets or cellphones, burgle a house, rob vehicles, or rapping.
Those three problems of city make a chain reaction. Do you know why? The high living cost make people to go to work or school to get better payment or education. Most of them ride their own vehicles and cause traffic jam. For people who want the simple way to accomplish their need, they prefer to do crime than work. However, you have to believe every problem is always have its solution. Brilliant ideas from all of citizens are very needed.
