The Senior High School World

During my time in senior high school I had many experiences and I felt many things, happy, cheerful, angry, sad, worried, naughty, pleasure, and etc...

I felt happy because my school is fresh and spacious, it has many tress, wide parking area, a wide mosque, two sport fields, free wi-fi, a new rebuild hall, canteens, library, computer, chemistry, physics, and language labolatories.

I start studying every Monday-Friday at 6.45 a.m. until 3.30 p.m and twice break time at 9.45-10.00 a.m and 11.30 a.m -12.30 p.m. Very long time to spend in school I only have 5 hours at home because after that I go sleep. I think it’s bad program for studying because no balances time for school and individual time. How can students develop their own ability if most of the time already spent in school? That’s often make me felt angry...

I still remember when I was at second grade of senior high school, I went to the canteen with my friends while waiting the history teacher. My history teacher was a woman. When I came back to the class, she already started the class and I was late! I felt very worry at that time. She forbid us to join the class and if we still join the class she wouldn’t continuing the lesson. So I exit from class and wait outside the class, then she came and asked us not to repeat the mistake again and we apologized to our teacher.

My school have two canteens, usually the students called the boys canteen and the girls canteen. I never went to the boys canteen. In girls canteen the seller sell roasted chicken, meatball, pecel, noodle, fried chicken, ayam kremes, soto ayam, gado-gado, lontong mie, fried rice, and various beverages. All are nice and delicious, also cheap :D

But the best time is when I and my friends sat around the side of coridors, we talk, joke, share, and discuss. Maybe this is the most what I miss when I already graduate from my senior high school beside the food in the canteen..

Indonesian Football

Football is one of my favorite sports, it’s really populist sports. Almost in every country have this sport. Actually, footballs in every country are different. But now I will tell you about football in my country.

Talking about Indonesian football, it’s very interesting to talk about this from another side. Sometimes I proud to watch the league but sometimes I feel strange because it’s really related with anarchy and unfair playing. I really want to see the match in the stadium but I’m afraid because usually after the match sometimes the brawls happen. It’s really making the audience not comfort with the match, sometimes the woman and the children.

I want to feel like in another country, they watch the match in a good way and didn’t make other mistakes and give disadvantages to other people. As an Indonesian citizen I want to see my country play in World Cup. But it happened some years ago maybe before I was born in this world.

I never heard another achievement that Indonesian reaches. I love to see the match when the National team plays for some games and I don’t like when the match for the football club in Indonesia. I don’t know why but it’s better if I watch the match like Premier League or La Liga. But not for Indonesian club.

Many people in Indonesia only care about their self, especially for people who manage the Indonesian football. They don’t care about the achievement that the team gets. They only care how they get money from the job. All of Indonesian people always wish the best for the national team. But many people that don’t know about football take the place to be the leader of Football Association of Indonesia. Actually to be the leader we must dominate the association / subject that we have. Indonesian people never think about the satisfied to watching football match.

Fanatic fans in Indonesia didn’t do their good attitude when they watch football. They make riot and dangerous thing in the match place. It’s really not good and makes people afraid.

My dreams are only one, I want Indonesian football get better and all of Indonesian people can enjoy it with nice situation.

Why of Why

It's always hard as an Indonesian to answer the question "what does Indonesian football like?" It's a very tough questions since football in Indonesia sucks. There are too much conflict, too many problems, too much interest, and too many naive people involve in the development of football.

I used to be a football lover. Though my favorite team was Manchester United and I always tuned in the English Premier League in 1996 until early 2000, I had much interest on Indonesian football during that year. I was so proud of our players and also the national league. I didn't remember quite well what achievement that our national team made but definitely the atmosphere of good developing football was present.

For the past few years our national team recruited players whose parent is Indonesian, half-blood Indonesian-westerner players. Most played in Netherlands. Those players then joined a selection program held by the Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) and if they succeed they will play for the national league and they will become Indonesian citizen. Next step they will play for Indonesia National Team. This is a fast way to get good players, but to me this program has limit the chance of  other national players, Indonesia origin players. They have to compete with those who has played for several seasons in the European league.

Another internal conflict inside the Indonesia Football Association, worsened the situation. The association chief  in charge was fought by other group and both tried to make their action legal by filing sue to the world football association (FIFA). The coup d'etat inside the association  broke and then other groups of people who named themselves the national football supporters were dueling to get the top position. Politicians, artist, public figure were all busy to save the Indonesian football. They have left a big question for me, were they really did all the effort to save the plummeting Indonesian football or they just did all the heroic action in the name of personal or group interest? Only God knows what has happened.

Those two big problems are just new problems. The classic problem of hooliganism hasn't been solved. Now i don't feel save in my own city during the football match. Fanatic supporters do vandalism in their own city and other cities too when the team has away game. Fanatic supporters are full of hatred, they marked the public places with humiliated and sarcastic words to other teams' supporters. These blind fanaticism to me is just as dangerous as terrorism. They terrorized other people just because their vehicle's license plate shows hated team's hometown. That's stupid. The fanatic supporters has set barriers, develop hatred, racism, and grow terror.

The players are also childish on the other hand. Not all but some. They don't respect the referee, the officials and players from other team. The kung fu kick, thai-boxing and others violence seems common in the league. They're failed to show what sportsmen should be. They don't have good attitude, what they do has made the supporters even wilder.

I dream about good football game, nice supporters, great achievements in the future. Football is treated as the same as politics now. It's the main talk show topic on TV, it's on TV almost every week end, it makes people stay at home and enjoy their leisure time in front of TV, and it makes people yell and scream in both happiness and disappointment. Big support and effort are needed to make Indonesian football much better in the future. If it's too much, then say a little bit better. Our team was great in the past. Supporters' courtesy were much better then they are now. I believe there will an answer of all this never ending problem. Let us all pray, that might be the only answer for now.
